Traveling solo in South America

So.... This is my first solo trip. Only 5 days in - or should I say cinco días - so this is gonna be a short post.
I'm in the beautiful landscapes of Ecuador, so you're getting a sneak peak of that.
Started my way in the capital city Quito. After a couple of days exploring the city and the equator line, I took a two hour bus to la ciudad de los mercados Otovalo along with two English girls. This town is filled with small markets with anything your heart may desire: foods, animals, clothing, souvenirs ect. Close to Otovalo is the Santa Ana de Cotacachi. Beautiful lakes near a vulcano. Now I'm back in Quito, alone, staying at the Secret Garden Hostel. A little expensive but good. And that is quite nice in a city like Quito, in which you hear about a lot of robberies. Tomorrow I'm leaving with the hostels shuttle to Cotopaxi - another town near a active vulcano. Had some complicated travler-thought on the bus today. I'm gonna tell you about them later on.
